Jack Gilchrist is the founding director and shareholder of Gilchrist Aviation Law. He is special counsel with respect to transactions involving aircraft, engines, propellers and spare parts. Mr. Gilchrist has focused his career on aviation transactions, representing clients from all areas of the aviation industry with regard to every current structure of aircraft and aircraft engine transaction.
Mr. Gilchrist has counseled clients around the world in aircraft transactions, including many of the major air carriers, aircraft and engine leasing companies, air cargo companies, corporations, banks and other lending institutions, as well as aircraft brokers, dealers and manufacturers.
Chad Gilson has practiced aviation legal services at Gilchrist Aviation Law since 2011. Mr. Gilson practices in various transactional matters related to aircraft title, registration, finance and leasing law, and represents clients from individual small aircraft owners to international air carriers and financial institutions.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Gilson worked as an intern with the United States Air Force Materiel Command Law Office, where he was responsible for the research and analysis of government contracts, copyrights and trademark law.
Nick Linholm has practiced law since 1990 with a focus in the aviation industry for many years, with the balance of his experience in the area of litigation defense. His practice is in the area of business aviation and oversees the Firm’s fractional ownership program and escrow transaction services. He manages a team of legal assistants, supervises aircraft title examinations and document preparation, and coordinates International Registry services related to the fractional program.
Mr. Linholm is a member of the Oklahoma, Oklahoma County, and American Bar Association, as well as all Federal Courts for the State of Oklahoma, the Tenth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Jane Um serves as an attorney for Gilchrist Aviation Law and practices in various commercial and corporate aviation transaction matters related to aircraft title, registration, finance, and leasing law.
Prior to joining Gilchrist Aviation Law, Ms. Um worked as an attorney and IRS Enrolled Agent. She has managed tax-related cases, negotiated solutions with the IRS and represented clients in IRS tax controversies.
